11/13/2023 0 Comments Ebay invoice for combined shippingThe ultimate answer from both a buyer and a seller standpoint is that Ebay's Shopping Cart software is not intuitive, has a million glitches (just like the rest of Ebay), and can appear different depending on what browser you are using, what app you are using, what listing software you are using, etc., etc., etc. If there is an eBay promotion or bucks promotion involved I will email the seller a few times to try to expedite the process so I can take advantage of the offers. If its been 24 hours than I remind the seller. But my point is that he definitely could do a lot more business and probably make more money if he had more reasonable shipping policies.īut yes from the OP's original point I always wait for an invoice when combining items. He is pretty upfront about it so if you don't like it move on. He has great feedback but about a dozen neutrals on these shipping issues. At the end of the day its definitely cost this seller business from me. Even when you buy a few items you are waiting to see what he will come up with for a combined price. There is one seller in particular whose stuff I really like, but his shipping policies are absurd. ![]() It's $3 no matter how many single cards (I think eBay caps invoices at 40) but it keeps me bidding on more items and I am sure he makes up the shipping from people like me bidding on things we otherwise might skip and increasing the prices whether I win or I don't. This is one of the reasons I give so many props to Greg Morris. Some sellers are obviously trying to increase their margins with shipping fees. So, what you described is the way it's supposed to work, but my guess is that the seller didn't have their shipping discounts set up properly.Īs a buyer only I have just as many complaints to sellers for shipping issues. ![]() Sure, at that point I could have messaged the seller and waited for them to correct it on their end, but I would have risked losing the cards to another buyer. Instead, I got an immediate message from eBay saying the seller doesn't combine shipping. So, I backed up, and clicked the "Request total from seller" option knowing I would commit to the purchase and just wait for the invoice. So, I decided on the two cards above, went to my cart to checkout, clicked the "Pay only this seller" option (I had other items in my cart from other sellers) and that's when it tried to charge me twice for shipping - it didn't apply the shipping discount. That's how I always do it when I'm looking at multiple items from the same seller. In my situation above, that's exactly how I did it. Now just wait for an invoice from the seller with combined shipping and everyone is happy. At this point, you commit to purchasing the items and they get locked in as you being the buyer. Once done, go to your shopping cart and request total from seller. Do the same with the other items from the same seller. To avoid this, don't click Buy It Now but click Add To Cart. Affiliate programs and affiliations include, but are not limited to, the eBay Partner Network. When you click on links to eBay on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission. Contact the moderator at should you have any questions or concerns. There is a separate section for Buying, Selling and Trading - the B/S/T area!! If you write anything concerning a person or company your full name needs to be in your post or obtainable from it. These forums are devoted to both Pre- and Post- war baseball cards and vintage memorabilia, as well as other sports. And then I reverted back to the original listings.īut to the OP buyer, the seller has to revise the one listing into 2-3 items and do it specificially for you and the buyer has to know the ID# and jump on the purchase immediately.Welcome to. (happened on Merc) and I waited and waited for the purchase. Now - sometimes you do it and the buyer won't buy the listing, that happened also. When the buyer bought the listing it went out with one shipping cost. I told one buyer that I would have to revise the listing and include the 2nd item as a "bonus" purchase and I did. I looked it up on Ebay and it's so convoluted and cumbersome. It's not $10shipping for one item, and $10 shipping for the other. On Posh you can put together a bundle and the one shipping cost appears. What the buyer wants to do is buy 2-3 items and be charged ONE shipping cost. ![]() ( Merc makes it difficult to do like Ebay) Can't do it on AMZ and Ebay. It's called "bundling" and you can do it on Poshmark. Is Combined Shipping on eBay Still an Issue?
